One size, or shoe, doesn't fit all
Shoes now come in different cushioning levels, heel-to-toe drops, widths, support profiles and geometries. Add carbon plates, super foams and constantly changing models, and finding the right pair can get confusing.
Instead of starting with a brand or model, our staff starts with the person. How will the shoe be used? What has worked, or not worked, in the past? How does your foot fit into the shoe? Most importantly, how does it actually feel?
"Fit is personal. Our job isn't to put everyone in the same shoe. It's to give them good options, explain the differences and help them find the one that feels right for them."
Five tips before buying your next pair of shoes
Shop for your foot, not someone else's
A shoe that works beautifully for a friend may not work for you.
Think about what you're using the shoe for
Walking, daily running, racing, standing all day and cross-country can need very different footwear.
Don't assume you know your size
Sizing can vary between brands and even between models from the same brand.
Try more than one option
Comparing shoes side by side makes differences in fit and feel easier to notice.
Comfort matters
Don't assume a shoe needs to be broken in before it feels good.

What customers say about The Foot Store on Google
Great selection of athletic shoes for all foot types. The staff are wonderful. They give personal attention to you and issues you may have with foot comfort in finding the right shoe and fit.
A coworker recommended this place as I have MANY issues with my feet AND at work I can walk anywhere from 7 to 10 miles a day and working five days a week I average 35 to 50 miles a week. This place is amazing and I have learned more here than at a podiatrist who wanted me to get inserts that started at $500! I learned I haven't even been getting the correct size!! I highly recommend trying this place!
Nathan was very knowledgeable and just an all around awesome guy! He took his time and gave me plenty of shoe options to try out ensuring I got exactly what I was looking for. Went with the Superblast 3s which have been the perfect shoe, I will be returning for all my future shoe purchases!

Should I buy the same shoe my friend recommends?
Not necessarily. The best shoe isn’t always the most popular shoe. A shoe that works beautifully for a friend may not work for you, so shop for your foot.
Is my shoe size the same in every brand?
No. Sizing can vary between brands and even between models from the same brand, so it’s worth being fitted rather than assuming your size.

Yes. Comparing shoes side by side makes differences in fit and feel much easier to recognize.
